Neymar stars as Brazil win in Turkey
Neymar stars as Brazil win in Turkey
International friendly, Sukru Saracoglu Stadium, Istanbul – Turkey 0 Brazil 4 (Neymar 20, 60, Kaya og 24, Willian 44)

Neymar scored twice as Brazil turned on the style to beat Turkey 4-0 in a friendly in Istanbul.

Turkey, who paid around $5m (£3.1m) to entice Dunga's side to Istanbul, were no match for a Brazil side unrecognisable from the team that was humiliated 7-1 by Germany in the World Cup semi-final this summer.

That is no small part due to new manager Dunga, who has now overseen five wins from five matches since he took over in July.

Neymar gave Brazil the lead on 20 minutes before Semir Kaya put through his own goal four minutes later.

Chelsea midfielder Willian, one of three Blues' stars in Dunga's starting eleven, then drilled home a third just before half-time after a mazy run down the left from Neymar.

Barcelona star Neymar completed the scoring on the hour with his 42nd international goal.

Turkey, bottom of Group A with just a point from their three matches, now face Kazakhstan in Istanbul in Euro 2016 qualifying on Sunday.

KEY MOMENTS

16' - CHANCE! Hamit Altintop passes back to his own goalkeeper and Neymar is on to the under-hit pass very quickly, but Demirel does brilliantly to stop the Barcelona striker rounding him.

20' – GOAL! Turkey 0-1 Brazil. Neymar runs on to a long ball from the back from Fernandinho, takes the ball on his chest then prods the ball past Demirel for his 41st international goal.

29' – GOAL! Turkey 0-2 Brazil. An own goal this time. Semih Kaya's put through his own net trying to cut out a Danilo cross from the right, with Adriano hovering.

19' – CHANCE! Alves makes a great save to tip over from Turan from the left-hand side of the area.

44' – GOAL! Turkey 0-3 Brazil. Neymar drives into the box and tries to cut across goal from the left. The Barcelona star loses control, but it ends up with a chance for Willian, who drills home.

54' – SAVE! Babacan makes a fine one-handed stop low to his right to keep out Luiz's header from Oscar's corner.

60- GOAL! Turkey 0-4 Brazil. Neymar plays a one-two with Adriano, cuts into the box, holds off Irtegun then pokes the ball past Babacan.

71' - SAVE! Turkey get a rare chance as Turan puts in Bulut down the left channel but Alves saves.

KEY STATS

Brazil have yet to concede a goal in the five matches since Dunga took over as manager in July.

This is the sixth time that Brazil have played Turkey - the South Americans have won four, with two draws, since their first meeting in 1956

TALKING POINT

Are Brazil back? That is five wins on the bounce under Dunga. In amongst those five wins are victories against Colombia and Argentina so things do look to be looking up. However, there was a lot of hype before the World Cup but they were exposed. They are doing very well but let’s nto get carried away.
